Ethical lesson from Professor Lord Robert Winston
Professor Lord Robert Winston, award winning host of The Human Body and Child of our Time, will visit the University of Lincoln to give a talk to students regarding the topical issue of trusting the ethics of scientists.
The talk entitled ‘Can we trust the ethics of scientists?’ will take place on Monday 29 October at 5.30pm in the University of Lincoln’s Jackson Lecture Theatre, Brayford campus.
The talk will be accompanied by the launch of this year’s Munton Medallion in which students will be able to find out how they can enter into this year’s award to be in with a chance of receiving a sponsored trip to the USA and £1000.
The Munton Medallion was created to encourage undergraduates to demonstrate ethical excellence. Each year students from the University of Lincoln and Salve Regina University, Rhode Island, USA submit pieces of work that show an understanding of ethical issues in their personal lives and relationships.
Last year’s recipient of the Munton Medallion, Jonathan Bradley, will be attending the talk to tell students about his work.
All students are welcome to attend the talk; there is no need to book. The talk is only open to students; there will be no admission for the general public.
