The university has been monitoring the water levels in Brayford Pool and the surrounding navigations and tributaries.  At present the water level is not rising - in fact it has receded a little - so we hope that the risk of flooding to the Brayford campus is also receding.  However, we are taking a cautious approach and will therefore be introducing some precautionary measures.

The reason for this approach is that it will be high tide in Boston at 4pm this afternoon, and this may affect the ability of the water to drain from Brayford Pool.  We hope and expect nothing to happen, but as a precautionary measure we will be closing the library, the Engine Shed, and the Sparkhouse incubation units at 3pm today.
