7th June 2007

Parents from all over Lincolnshire will be visiting the University of Lincoln for a special parents’ evening to provide them with vital information about their sixth-form children going on to university.

Around 300 parents are expected to attend the evening at the University of Lincoln’s Brayford campus on Tuesday 12th June.

Parents will find out information on fees and funding, the application process, university life and advice on what to expect from a parent’s prospective.

All those attending have children currently in year 12 who are beginning to think about applying to university.

The evening has been organised in conjunction with Connexions, who will be available for parents to speak to on the evening.

Andy Kirk, UK Recruitment Officer, said: “Applying to university is a big decision for youngsters so this is a great opportunity for parents to find out a wide range of information which they can use to help their child progress into higher education.”

Anyone who has a child thinking about applying to university is welcome to attend. The evening will take place in the university’s Architecture building from 6-9 pm.
