Dogs from across Lincolnshire are invited to enjoy a luxury day of pampering as students at the University of Lincolnís Riseholme Park campus host a groomathon to raise money for Blue Cross.


Staff, students and members of the public are taking their dogs to the campusís brand new grooming room for special treatment on Monday 18th June (next week).


The new grooming room has a reception, holding area, wet and dry rooms, a multi level bath and hydraulic tables. Students will be bathing, drying, scissoring, clipping and hand stripping the dogs on the day.


The event has been organised by students completing First Certificates in Animal Care and First Diplomas in Animal Care.


Students will also be raising money for local charities - Exotic Pet Refuge and Weir Field Wildlife Hospital on Tuesday 19th June by holding a pet show and fun dog show.


The groomathon will take place at Riseholme Park campus from 9.00am to 5.00pm. On the following day the pet show will take place at 10.00am and the fun dog show at 2.00pm.
