CREATIVITY WILL IMPRESS EMPLOYERS

Students with creative minds are putting the final touches to their end of year show so that they can impress potential employers.

University of Lincoln students from the Department of Computing and Informatics studying Audio Technology, Multimedia Technology and Web Technology will showcase their work at the university’s Hull campus on Friday 18thth May.

As well as the display of work there will be an awards ceremony sponsored by local and national businesses who are potential employers of the creative students who make a good impression at the end of year show.

IOV Video Skills is sponsoring the Moving Image Award, Eon Media is sponsoring the Multimedia Award, BBC Raw Talent is sponsoring the Audio Award and The White Agency is sponsoring the Web Technology Award.

This is the second year that the university has held an awards ceremony. Organiser and Lecturer in Creative Technologies John Hamlin said it will give the students a chance to show off their talents.

“I’m very happy that so many businesses have come forward to support the university by sponsoring an award. Having their name linked to the prizes gives winning students added value to their degree,” said John.

“It takes our students work outside of the university and into a professional context which I hope will open up further employment opportunities.”

It will all take place in the Saville Lecture Theatre, Derek Crothall Building, George Street, Hull. For more information about the end of year show please contact John Hamlin on 01482 311065 or email jhamlin@lincoln.ac.uk
