The University of Lincoln will be welcoming a visit from one of the government’s senior civil servants on Friday this week.


Ruth Thompson, Director General for the Higher Education Directorate, will be making an all important visit to the University of Lincoln on Friday 9th March (this week).


David Jeffrey, Deputy Director for Student Finance in the Higher Education Directorate, will also be attending the visit.


The visit will give the university the opportunity to show off its latest developments with guided tours of the Students’ Union and the East Midlands Media Technology and Enterprise Centre (EMMTEC).


Professor Brian McGaw, Dean of the Faculty of Health, Life and Social Sciences, will host a discussion on the Widening Participation Award, Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and Forensic Science Society (FSS).


Members of the Senior Management Team (Professor David Chiddick, Professor Andrew Atherton, Professor Mike Saks, Dr Frances Mannsaker, Joanne Jones and Gillian Squires) will discuss the university’s strategic plan, research, employer engagement and FE/HE partnerships.


The visitors will arrive at the university at 10.30 am.
