Sibling support will play an important part of this year’s University of Lincoln graduation ceremonies taking place at Lincoln Cathedral on Wednesday 24th January.

Identical twin sisters Ellie and Becky Neal and brothers Sean and Chris Brennan are among the many students preparing to attend the ceremony to officially receive their awards.

Ellie and Becky, aged 26 from Spalding, are both graduating with distinction at Lincoln Cathedral with an MSc in Human Resource Management/Human Resource Development.

The twins have always led similar lives after studying for the same degree at the same university and now working for the same company – George Adams as personnel officers.

Becky said: “I’m looking forward to graduating at the Cathedral in front of our friends and family. It’s a culmination of three years’ hard work.”

Brothers Sean (22) and Chris (24) Brennan from Gainsborough will both be graduating with first-class honours degrees in History.

The brothers have also led similar lives after studying for the same A Levels at the same time in History and Law and now both graduating with degrees in History.

During the ceremony Jon Hanna will be receiving an Honorary Fellowship. Between 2001 and autumn 2006 Jon was the university’s Director of Quality and Standards. He made major contributions to the operational effectiveness and reputation of the university through his work.

The graduation ceremony will take place at 11.30am. Journalists and photographers are welcome to attend.
