STUDENT TAKEN AT FACE VALUE

(PHOTOGRAPHS AVAILABLE)

University of Lincoln student Rosea Brown has been named as one of the ‘Faces of Lincoln’.

Rosea Brown (20) and Graham Watts (24) won the ‘Faces of Lincoln’ competition and their photographs will now appear on large adverts on Lincoln buses.

The adverts aim to raise awareness of the services that the City of Lincoln Council has to offer the residents of Lincoln.

The photographs of Rosea and Graham will appear on 15 buses around the city for the duration of eight weeks.

Julie Treharne, Communications Manager at the City of Lincoln Council, said: “People are often unaware of the hundreds of ways in which the services the Council provide affect the quality of their daily lives.

“We hope the new adverts promote some of these lesser-known services. Everyone knows we manage household refuse collection but do they know we license taxis and ensure restaurants and cafés are safe places in which to eat?”

Rosea is currently studying for a degree in Forensic Science but has always had an interest in modelling.

Rosea said: “I was excited and apprehensive when I found out that I'd won. I enjoyed the photo shoot as we went to different locations around the city - it was a fantastic opportunity and I really had fun. I look forward to seeing my face on different buses but it will be a bit of a shock.”
