A University of Lincoln lecturer has written a new book to help travel and tourism students all over the country.

Professor Richard Sharpley’s book is one of a series of course companions published by Sage. It is entitled ‘The Sage Course Companion in Travel and Tourism – Knowledge and Skills for Success’.

The book is designed to help students understand key concepts of travel and tourism and to give advice on revision technique and assignment creation.

It is primarily aimed at first year undergraduate travel and tourism students both in the UK and overseas, but the book would also be useful to A Level, Diploma and HND students.

Professor Sharpley is head of Tourism at the university and he has been published widely in the area of travel and tourism.

Professor Sharpley said: “Based on my experience of teaching travel and tourism for over 15 years, the book has been written to provide students with a broad introduction to the subject, including what to study and how to pass assignments and examinations.”

The book is currently available from all good bookshops priced at £12.99.
