15th November 2006

Over 1,500 visitors will be travelling from all over the country to discover more about what the university has to offer.

Potential new students and their parents are being invited to attend an open day at the University of Lincoln on Saturday 25th November.

The day will include a series of presentations covering all aspects of student life and subject talks with the opportunity for visitors to speak personally to academic tutors.

In addition there will also be presentations on student accommodation and student finance which will provide information about tuition fees and what scholarships and bursaries the university will be offering in 2007.

Guests can also take a tour of the university and the centre of Lincoln throughout the day. Visitors will be encouraged to look around the Engine Shed, the university’s newest development which provides students with an excellent socialising venue.

Current students will also be there on the day to talk to visitors about life at the university as well as providing additional information for parents.

Rebecca Coulton the university’s National Recruitment Officer said: “We are really looking forward to the open day and meeting all prospective students. Visitors will be able to find out all they need to know about the University of Lincoln and student life.”
