PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE OF GOOD WORK

 

University of Lincoln students have been awarded certificates of commendation from the Lincolnshire Police.

 

Nine first-year Forensic Science students were given the awards for the high quality of their forensic photography portfolios.

 

Linsey Belford, Lisa Botten, Jennifer Gardiner, Joseph Giddings, Kathryn Hall, Elizabeth Hussey, Clare Johnson, Lynette Fleeting and Cleo Field

 

The students were presented the awards by Karen Aistrop, Head of Photography at the Lincolnshire Police, and taken on a tour of the Police Headquarters based in Nettleham.

 

The students were required to take photos of injuries, vehicle collisions, footprints and fingerprints.

 

 

The photography portfolio is an essential part of the crime scene investigation unit taught at the university. Only the top performing students receive a certificate for their work.

 

The students awarded the certificates of commendation were Linsey Belford, Lisa Botten, Jennifer Gardiner, Joseph Giddings, Kathryn Hall, Elizabeth Hussey, Clare Johnson, Lynette Fleeting and Cleo Field.

 

Dr Adrian Goodman a lecturer in forensic and biomedical sciences said: “It provides hands on experience and important practical skills which today’s graduates require to gain employment in an increasingly competitive job market.”
