The latest ‘Cine Latino’ film to be showcased is ‘El Otro Lado de la Cama’, which translates as ‘The Other Side of the Bed’.

The University of Lincoln’s popular series of Spanish and Latin American films will be showing the film on Monday 27th November.

The film, directed by Emilio Martinez-Lazaro, is set in Madrid and surrounds itself around the story of two couples who switch partners.

To start with, Paula dumps Pedro to be with her mystery man Javier, who turns out to be Pedro’s best friend. Javier has a secret girlfriend called Sonia who ends up being Pedro’s shoulder to cry on.

The passionate romantic comedy is in Spanish but will be shown with English subtitles.

A spokesperson for the University of Lincoln said: “The ‘Cine Latino’ series is very popular. Madrid provides a vivid setting for the romantic comedy, it’s a definite must see.”

The film will be shown at 7.00pm, room AR0107 in the Lincoln School of Architecture, Brayford Campus.
