CINE LATINO REVISITS SPAIN CIRCA ’73

18th October 2006

Pablo Berger’s Torremolinos ’73 is the latest offering from the Cine Latino film series at the University of Lincoln’s Brayford Pool campus.

The film centres on a happily married couple; a heart warming and occasionally hilarious depiction of their love, their marriage, their mutual respect… and their career as porn stars.

Amidst the hilarity, a few significant questions surface: What would you sacrifice to make someone happy? Would you offer up your pride? Would you give up your sense of propriety? Do not answer until you have seen the film.

Writer and Director Pablo Berger crafted a thoroughly winning and surprisingly thought-provoking story, where three dimensional characters abound and there are no easy answers to life’s big questions.

Torremolinos ‘73 will be screened on Monday 23rd October in the Jackson Lecture Theatre at the university’s Brayford Pool campus. The screening commences at 7pm and admission is free.
