High-flying media graduate Darren Edwards has set up his own media technology company in Hull after completing his studies at the University of Lincoln.

Darren Edwards (35) graduates next month with first-class honours in Media Technology and set up X-GF Media in March.

X-GF Media is a small but talented collective of media technologists and new media practitioners based in Norwich House on Hullís Savile Street.

Among their recent projects the firm has done editing, post-production and colour grading for music videos for Swedish band Molotov Jive and Bon Jovi support act Spin.

ďX-GF specialises in sexy film, TV and motion graphics and audio work, but we aren't too averse to paying the bills with the odd corporate or two either,Ē says Darren.

Multi-platform and multi-versatile, X-GF Media is currently incubated at Stream, Hullís premiere business content provider for the regionís forthcoming interactive set-top box.

As well as providing corporate video for Stream, X-GF Media are concurrently involved in music video production (Barcelona, USA), cutting-edge documentaries, 3G, virals and vodcasting (video podcasting).

As well as running his new company Darren is also Head of Production Spark TV, the award-winning interactive student TV channel run by BBCi and the University of Lincoln in Hull.

Darren is due to graduate from the University of Lincoln at 2.30pm on Wednesday 6th September in the Kingston Suite at the Kingston Communications Stadium in Hull.
