A prestigious national
conference for police officers who work closely with universities and colleges
is to be staged at the
Association of Higher Education Liaison Officers (PAHELO) is to hold its annual
Around 50 delegates are expected to attend who are involved with policing universities and colleges on either a full or part-time basis.
Community Beat Manager PC Rick Mosley, who heads the Carholme Community Policing Team and who is organising the event, said: "With most force areas having a university or college on their patch, it makes sense for us all to get together on a regular basis to share best practice and ideas.
"It's a great forum to find out about what works and what doesn't around the country, significantly in terms of crime prevention and student safety.
