ROSA PLAQUE TO BE UNVEILED AT THE SHOW

President Elect of the Riseholme Old School Association (ROSA) John Godfrey CBE is presenting a plaque to the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society at the showground this afternoon.

Mr Godfrey who is also the Chairman of the Board of Governors at the University of Lincoln will perform the official presentation ceremony at the main gates to the showground at 2.30pm.

ROSA gave the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society money for the gates along with the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society Shield and the ROSA plaque.

The plaque has since been removed and restored to its former glory and will be handed over to the society to be repositioned at the entrance to the Lincolnshire Showground.

Clive Bound, Director of the University of Lincolns Riseholme Park Campus said: The presentation of the plaque is significant as it cements the partnership between the Lincolnshire School of Agriculture and the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society.

Im looking forward to seeing the newly refurbished plaque back in its rightful position at the entrance to the showground.

The University of Lincoln will be at the 2006 Lincolnshire Show on Tenth Avenue Stand 229 today and tomorrow (21st and 22nd June).

Visitors to the stand will get a taste of the courses on offer at the University of Lincolns Riseholme Park campus including Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Management and Welfare, Equine Science and Forestry and Arboriculture.

Staff will also be on hand to talk to visitors about other courses on offer across the university.
