Over 100 higher education institutions and other organisations will exhibit at the Lincolnshire Higher Education Fair next Tuesday (20th June).

Hosted for the sixth year running by the University of Lincoln, the event will bring together displays from HE providers nationwide.

The event, organised by UCAS (the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service), Connexions and the university, will be visited by almost 4,000 students from over 40 Lincolnshire school sixth-forms and colleges.

Students will have the opportunity to speak to representatives from the many institutions, collect prospectuses and attend talks presented by the different universities.

These talks are given by experts on various topics and include subjects such as communication and media, teaching and art and design.  Also available are general talks including UCAS applications, funding university and how to get the most out of student life.

“The Lincolnshire Higher Education Fair gives sixth-form students from the local area a great opportunity to research their options before they think about applying to university through UCAS,” said Rebecca Coulton, the university’s Schools Liaison and Recruitment Officer.

“There are many options available and it’s really important that students get an opportunity to obtain information on all those on offer.”

The fair takes place in the university sports centre and will be open from 10am until 2.30pm.
