The Minister for Communities and Local Government, David Miliband MP, will be visiting the University of Lincoln on Monday (27th March).


The Minister is looking at the future of local government in England and his visit to Lincolnshire is one of a series of visits taking place across the country.


He will be meeting local authority leaders and representatives of partner organisations and the business community.


He will also be taking part in an interactive ‘Ask the Audience’ session with an invited audience of young people. (TV studio, MHAC building).


There will be an opportunity for media interviews and/or photographs between 4.15pm and 4.45pm in the Vice Chancellor’s boardroom in the main academic building at Brayford Pool.


The Rt Hon David Miliband MP entered the Cabinet as Minister of Communities and Local Government in May 2005.


He was previously appointed Minister for the Cabinet Office in December 2004 before that he was the Schools Minister from June 2002. He has been Labour MP for  South Shields since June 2001.
