STUDENTS TO EXPRESS HOPE THROUGH ART

Eight Fine Art students from the University of Lincoln are to show off their work in a special exhibition to be staged in the city on Saturday (21st January).

The ‘Hope’ art exhibition is being presented by second-year student Melanie Marshall and features work by Lizzie Jones and six other up-and-coming artists.

It will take place at the Lincoln Baptist Church on Croft Street and will be open from 10am until 4pm on Saturday 21st January.

“The theme is the beauty of God’s creation, nature and spirituality,” said Melanie.

“The exhibition involves a collaboration between Christian and non-Christian artists with contemporary artwork in many different forms such as photography, computer manipulation and textiles pieces as well as traditional paintings.”

There will also be a card stall, a percentage of the proceeds from which will be donated to the church.

Admission is free and refreshments will be provided.
