Former students of the University of Lincoln can enjoy a mince pie and a glass of mulled wine at the Christmas Market this Saturday.

The university’s new Alumni Association, which was officially launched in September,  is inviting graduates to meet up with old friends and toast the Christmas season.

The event will take place from 12 noon until 3pm on Saturday 3rd December at Chad Varah House on Wordsworth Street, just off Steep Hill.

Those graduates who have registered with the Alumni Association will already have received an invitation but all former students of the University of Lincoln, De Montfort University in Lincoln, Humberside University or the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside are welcome to attend.

“With Lincoln’s famous Christmas Market just steps away, packed with over 300 stalls and seasonal entertainment, our alumni will be able to toast Christmas in beautiful surroundings and soak up the brilliant atmosphere of the largest Christmas Market in Europe,” said Julie Corden, Alumni Officer at the University of Lincoln.

“This is a great opportunity to catch up with what’s been happening and see the future plans of the university.”

The university launched a new web site for former students in September and wrote to 47,000 alumni in the UK and overseas to encourage them to sign up.

So far over 1,500 graduates have registered with the association and more are signing up every day. To find out more log on to www.lincolnalumni.org
