A multi-media design company which has been trading in the University of Lincoln’s Sparkhouse Studios for just five months has been shortlisted in the Grantham Journal Business Awards 2005.

Helloglobe design and produce multimedia presentations called Powershows that incorporate video, voiceover, music and graphics to help create emotion in the viewer.

Helloglobe’s Managing Director Anthony Lynch, his son Jamie and colleague Paul Tennant have also developed Powermail, a dynamic email marketing tool, and Powercards, which are business cards on CD-ROM.

Powermail is a marketing software tool which allows clients to email the Powershow presentation along with a newsletter and track the responses. The sender can see if recipient has read the email and how many times.

Similarly Powercards, described as the next generation of business cards, can hold a complete multimedia presentation including video and sound and can be set up with automatic web links.

Along with around 1000 other businesses Helloglobe, who also have an office in Grantham, submitted their entry for the ‘New Business of the Year Award’ after seeing an advert in the Grantham Journal. They have now made it through to the final stages and will attend an awards ceremony on Friday 25th November at the Belton Woods Hotel where they’ll find out it they’ve won.

This is the second award Helloglobe has been shortlisted for. In July they won a Welland Enterprise Agency Award for the ‘Best use of ICT’.

According to Anthony the success of their business is down to the quality of the product: “Research has proven that a company’s image has a direct bearing on its profitability. Our Power-media products create emotion in the viewer that other forms of presentations are unable to do.”
