DRAMATIC FILM SERIES SET TO CONTINUE

 

The University of Lincoln’s series of films adapted from the theatre continues next week.

 

The Drama Department is screening two strands of films - ‘Modern American Drama’ and ‘Restoration to Melodrama’ – for the benefit of students and members of the public.

 

On Tuesday 29th November Lorraine Hansberry’s ‘A Raisin in the Sun’, directed by Daniel Petrie and starring Sidney Poitier, Ruby Dee and Claudia McNeil, will be shown in the Cargill Lecture Theatre in the main building at Brayford Pool from 5pm.

 

On Thursday 1st December ‘The Beggar’s Opera’ by John Gay, directed by Jonathan Miller and starring Roger Daltry, Bob Hoskins, Stratford Johns and Patricia Routledge, will be screened in the Co-op Lecture Theatre in the main building at Brayford Pool from 5pm.

 

Guests and members of the public are welcome to attend on a first come, first served basis, but places are limited.
