DECONSTRUCTING THE ROLE OF AN ARCHITECT

The role of an architect in the construction industry will be discussed during the first in a series of guest lectures organised by the Lincoln School of Architecture and the Lincolnshire Society of Architects.

UL Architects’ principal architect Manager Nigel Stevenson will deliver the talk entitled ‘Architects – Are We Artists or Are We Builders?’ on Tuesday 1st November in the university’s Lincoln School of Architecture Building.

Although the talk is open to everyone it’s specifically aimed at encouraging students to think about what sort of architect they want to become after they graduate.

Other guest lecturers who have been lined up to give a talk as part of the series are Jason Parker from MAKE Architects in London and Matthew Faulkiner who is from Nicaragua and runs his own architecture and furniture design business called Exchange.

The guest lecture will begin on Tuesday at 7.30pm in room AR0107 in the Lincoln School of Architecture Building.

The architecture lecture series ‘Forum’ is sponsored by HBG Construction.
