The work of four Fine Art students from the University of Lincoln will be on show at the Lincoln Waterfront Festival next weekend.

Artwork by Mavreen Arhin, Kathy Ansell, Elizabeth Jones and Stephen A Walsh will be shown in the ‘Rhythmic Forces’ exhibition in the main academic building at the university’s Brayford Pool campus.

Mavreen Arhin and Stephen Walsh are Fine Art graduates, Elizabeth Jones is about to begin her final year as a Fine Art degree student and Kathy Ansell is studying for a masters in Fine Art.

“With the power of the divine and elemental in nature” painter Elizabeth Jones says she creates “colourful and playful reflections of nature’s beauty with the depth of the universe and our environment within vibrant rhythmic paintings.”

Stephen A Walsh’s work depicts “inner worlds that interplay between conflict and peace" while Kathy Awsell’s work is a  a free-form audio-visual experiment” and Mavreen Arhin produces video art.

The exhibition will be open on Saturday 23rd July from 12 noon until 7pm and on Sunday 24th July from 12 noon until 5pm.

The show has been organised by Elizabeth Jones in co-operation with her three fellow students.
