The University of Lincoln has appointed a new Academic Registrar.


Dr Wayne Campbell will join the University on 16th August from the Kent Institute of Art and Design, where he is currently Head of Registry Services.


Dr Campbell obtained a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Kent and an MSc in Information Technology from the University of Technology in Loughborough.


He also has an MA from Cambridge.


Prior to his appointment at the Kent Institute, Dr Campbell worked in academic administration at the University of Cambridge for five years. Before that he was employed by the University of North London for two years as Head of the Student Records Office.


In his new position as Academic Registrar, Dr Campbell will be responsible for heading up and establishing the university’s new Student Registry.


This involves maintaining and enhancing records relating to students, programmes and fees including the development of records policies and processes.


Dr Campbell said: “I am very pleased to be joining the university at this exciting stage in its development, and look forward to making a positive contribution in support of the university’s very clearly articulated vision and mission for the future.”
