A major conference at the University of Lincoln in Hull next weekend will celebrate early years and play in the city.

The Hull School of Health and Social Care on George Street will host ‘The Future for All Our Children’, a one-day conference bringing together experts on social care, children’s development, early years and play, on Saturday 18th June.

Among the speakers will be Anne-Marie Graham, consultant advisor to the Sure Start Unit, who will give a talk entitled ‘The best start for every child – the framework for service development’.

Gordon Sturrock will offer a unique perspective on play entitled ‘Towards ludology – the art of being and becoming through play’.

Addie Pryce and colleagues from Head Start in Canada will speak on ‘Working in partnership with aboriginal organisations’ and the Play Policy for Hull will be officially launched at the conference.

There will be a choice of 15 workshops for delegates and crèche facilities will be available at nearby Hull College.
