The University of Lincoln has redesigned its web site to appeal to a wider audience.

The new site, which required the contribution of dozens of university departments and which has taken around three months to complete, has been made easier to use and addresses a much wider audience than the previous site.

www.lincoln.ac.uk now highlights a wide range of university departments and includes university news, general information, services to business, a press release archive and a section for prospective students.

Visitors can also find out more about the university and its departments, staff and courses as well as download MP3 music samples and send e-cards, all of which are integrated amongst the varied sections of the site.

“The new site is an ongoing project and will be constantly maintained and updated, and we will be introducing broadband video content in the near future,” said web site manager Chris Goddard.

“The web site is essential to student recruitment and addresses different visitor interests. One of our aims was integrate the web site with existing information systems within the university.”
