Around 200 visitors are expected to attend the Hull centre of the University of Lincoln at its up-coming open day next week.

The university will be staging the next in its series of successful open days on Saturday 22nd January to allow potential applicants to talk to academics and view the on-site facilities.

The university will be open from 9.30am until 4pm and welcome talks for visitors will be given at 10am and 1.30pm. Registration takes place at the Derek Crothall Building on George Street.

Visitors will be given the opportunity to take campus tours and attend information sessions on student support, learning resources and student life.

Academics from all disciplines will be on hand to talk to students individually about their options. Among the courses represented will be Social Work, Media Technology, Illustration and Digital and Interactive Television.

“It’s one thing to look up university information in a prospectus or on the Internet, but you only really get a sense of a place when you visit,” said organiser Rebecca Coulton.

“Our open days are relaxed, informal and really enjoyable, and they are a tremendous opportunity for students to check out the facilities at first hand.”
