MEDIA LECTURER PRODUCES BBC RADIO DRAMA

Amateur actors from across the county are preparing to take part in an exclusive radio drama for BBC Radio Lincolnshire.

‘Like Father, Like Daughter’ explores the theme of fatherhood by following the life of main character Fred Walker, a pensioner who has fallen out with his daughter.

The 30-minute play has been written by three writers in Grantham and is being directed and produced by University of Lincoln senior lecturer and freelance BBC programme-maker Zara Healy.

Actors from Lincoln, Metheringham, Waddington, Grantham and Hull are taking part in a weekend of recording in the university’s Brayford Pool recording studio on 13th and 14th November.

"The play is developing brilliantly and is a collaboration between local writers, the University of Lincoln and the BBC,” said Zara.

We're really excited about the drama and we're confident it'll be a fantastic, compelling story with a twist at the end.”

The play will be broadcast on BBC Radio Lincolnshire on Boxing Day at 6pm.
