The University of Lincoln is to host a special girls’ night in tonight (Monday) to help raise money for Breast Cancer Research.

The women only event will feature Indian head massage, belly dancing and tarot card reading.

The evening also boasts a cabaret show from the university men’s rugby team, and an Ann Summers party between 8.30pm and 9.30pm.

A collection of shops and services from Lincoln city centre will be at the event, including representatives from Stringer’s hairdressers, Ann Summers and Thorntons.

“The evening was developed in the hope of starting the university year with a bang, and the girls can expect to have a great night,” said Lucy Martin-Davis, the event’s joint organiser.

“My co-organiser Kate Cullem has a relative who has been diagnosed with breast cancer, and our event aims to raise awareness of the disease. We also aim to raise around £1,000 for charity.”

The event will be held at the university’s Delph Bar between 7.30pm and 12.30am tonight (Monday).

Tickets are £3 with an NUS card, £4 in advance from the Students’ Union office, or £5 on the door. Local residents are permitted but require an NUS holder to sign them in. Men are strictly not permitted.

Photographers are welcome to attend.
