Around 60 artists and arts professionals will be at the University of Lincoln in Hull tomorrow (Wednesday) for a major networking event.

Arts Link-Up is being staged by the creative network Arts and Business Yorkshire and hosted by the university at the Derek Crothall Building on George Street.

“The event will be an opportunity for arts organisations and independent artists to network with others in the region, share knowledge and ideas and engage with key  agencies through workshops and discussions,” said a university spokesman.

“Artists will also be able to meet arts officers and representatives of key strategic arts organisations.”

Among the workshops being offered at the event are: ‘The story of brands – the great seduction’ led by Mark Wright, Arts & Business Yorkshire, ‘Grants for the arts’ led by Arts Council England and ‘Audience development’ led by Eve Jackson, Hull Time Based Arts.

The event, which begins at 8.30am and ends at 4.30pm, will attract delegates from agencies and arts organisations all over Yorkshire and North and North-East Lincolnshire.
