The chief economist at the Institute of Directors has been appointed visiting professor at the Lincoln Business School.

Professor Graeme Leach was guest speaker at the launch of the University of Lincoln’s Business School last October where he gave the annual lecture of the Lincolnshire branch of the IoD.

Professor Leach joined the IoD six years ago and is responsible for all aspects of macro- and micro-economic policy analysis for the institute.

He is a frequent media commentator and in recent years has spoken at conferences all over the world.

Before joining the IoD he was an associate director at the Henley Centre analysing future economic and social change. He edited the Henley Centre’s UK economic forecasts, global macro-economic outlook and consumer and leisure futures services.

"We are delighted to welcome Graeme Leach to the faculty as a visiting professor,” said Dr Don White, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law.

"Our students and business clients will undoubtedly benefit from his extensive knowledge and experience of economics and economic policy."
