BE SMART FOR CHARITY

Guess how many balloons you can fit into a smart car this weekend (Saturday 29th May) and you could win a remote controlled car as well as raise money for charity.

Jacqueline Mayer (33) and Karen Raynes (34), who both work in marketing at the University of Lincoln, have organised the event to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

The pair will take part in Ultimate Challenge 2004 Trek Peru, a five-day trek along the ancient Inca Trail, in September.

But before they can embark on their trip the two women have to raise £6,000 for the cancer research charity.

The smart car balloon challenge will take place between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 29th May in the Cornhill, Lincoln.

Smart of Lincoln have lent three smart cars and donated the remote controlled car for the event.

“Smart cars are so eye catching, making them the ideal car to help raise awareness and money for such a worthwhile cause,” said Alex Buston, Marketing Manager at smart of Lincoln.  “And for those taking part, one hint when you are guessing, smarts are bigger inside than you think!”
