Local businesses have been developing their marketing strategies with the help of students from the University of Lincoln.
Third-year Marketing students have provided consultancy work to nine local organisations including Lincoln Cathedral, HBS, Heritage Trail, Credit Action and Handsome Cabs.
Representatives from Lincoln Cathedral and local businesses will be visiting the university today for the final presentations of the projects.
“The clients are delighted with the results and we are very happy with the work produced by the students,” said Nick Taylor, principal lecturer in the Faculty of Business and Law.
“One of the clients has already taken heed of our students’ advice and adopted the company’s business plan accordingly.
“We always welcome new companies who may have potential research projects and would welcome students working with them.”
To show their appreciation the university is throwing a party for the clients, students and tutors at 7.30pm this evening at Dogma in the High Street.
Note: There are two photo opportunities, either the Lincoln Cathedral project presentation at 3.30pm in LR13 at the university or the party itself from 7.30pm at Dogma.
