University of Lincoln student Sophie Taylor will showcase her work in a high-profile exhibition next month.
Images taken by Sophie (20) during a trip to Japan will feature in the exhibition at The Gallery in Stratford-upon-Avon.
This is the latest in a string of successes for the young photographer.
At the age of 18 she was chosen as the youngest winner of the Fujifilm national wedding photography competition.
The photos for the exhibition were taken while Sophie was enjoying her prize for the competition, which saw her riding the famous Bullet train and visiting Mount Fuji as well as enjoying a tour of the Fuji factory.
Earlier this year she was chosen to illustrate a brochure on wedding photography that will go out to more than 20,000 companies across the country.
She has also become one of the youngest
ever members of the Master Photographers’ Association which is the only
professional association in the country.
The five-week exhibition is part of a series of international events taking place in the town to celebrate Shakespeare’s birthday.
Sophie, who is currently studying a Media Production degree at the University of Lincoln, is associate photographer at Warwickshire-based Avon Studios.
The exhibition, which runs from Saturday 3rd April until Friday 7th May, is a collaboration between Avon Studios and Stratford District Council which own and runs the gallery.
Sophie will give a talk about her work and the inspiration behind it.
The works will be sold after the exhibition and the profits given to charities close to the hearts of Sophie and her colleague Andrew Sheppard.
