23rd March 2004

An exhibition with a difference is being held at the University of Lincoln.

American artist Richard Snyder has painted two new paintings directly onto the walls of the Greestone Gallery at the university.

The paintings and other pieces of his work can be seen at the gallery until Friday 23rd April.

Richard Snyder is a painter from Brooklyn.  During his stay in Lincoln he will also be talking to students on the Fine Art course.

The exhibition follows the visit of another American artist to the university.

Portrait artist Susan Moore visited the university earlier this month to talk to students and exhibit some of her work.

Susan approaches her subjects from a post-modern slant, creating distinctive, revealing images of women.

Work by both artists can be viewed at Greestone Gallery in the Greestone building, Cathedral Campus, University of Lincoln.
