Lovers of Latin music will be able to dance the night away on Wednesday… and help raise money for charity at the same time.

Jacqueline Mayer (33) and Karen Raynes (34), who both work in marketing at the University of Lincoln, have organised the evening to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

The pair will take part in Ultimate Challenge 2003 Trek Peru, a five-day trek along the ancient Inca Trail, in September.

But before they can embark on their trip the two women have to raise £6,000 for the cancer research charity.

The Latin salsa night begins at 7.30pm on Wednesday 31st March 2004 in the Delph Bar in the university’s sports centre at the Brayford Pool campus, where all are welcome.

Tickets are priced at £2 for students before 11pm and £3 after 11pm and £3 for non-students before 11pm and £4 after 11pm.

“We are very grateful to the Students’ Union Co-operative which has agreed to let us use the Delph Bar free of charge for this charity event,” said Karen.
