Budding artists and designers across Lincoln will get the chance to look round the Lincoln School of Art & Design at an open day this week.

The further education open day is aimed at those who are interested in a career in art and design – they may be studying for their GCSEs or they may be doing other things and looking for a change in career direction.

The Lincoln School of Art & Design – part of the University of Lincoln – offers one-year foundation courses and two-year AVCEs (Advanced Vocational Certificate of Education) in Art & Design.

The open day will take place at St Michael’s Church, Christ’s Hospital Terrace, on Wednesday 11th February from 2pm until 4pm and will give visitors an opportunity to meet staff and current students and view the facilities at the university’s Cathedral Campus.

“We have remodelled our portfolio of further education art and design courses and we’re looking forward to talking to local students about the benefits of studying with us,” said a spokesman for the University of Lincoln.
