17th February 2004

Prospective students and their friends and family are invited to attend an important open day at the University of Lincoln in Hull next month.

This is the last open day before prospective students make the all-important decision about which university place to accept.

The open day on Saturday 6th March 2004 will be an opportunity for prospective students to take a look at where they might be studying in the future.

Welcome talks will be given at 10am and 1.30pm and there will also be information sessions covering accommodation, learning resources, student support, information for parents, student life and Hull city tourism.

Registration takes place at the Derek Crothall Building on George Street and visitors will have the opportunity to tour the whole campus, including the Queens Gardens site, the Hooper Building and 42 High Street.

Throughout the day Hull campus lecturers will be available for one-to-one discussions with students.

“This is an important open day as prospective students are in the process of making decisions about which university to accept offers from,” said Jacqueline Mayer, Education Liaison Manager at the university.

“We strongly recommend that students take the time to visit the university before they make their final decision.”
