BIG CROWDS EXPECTED AT UNIVERSITY OPEN DAY

Over 1,500 visitors are expected to attend an open day at the University of Lincoln on Saturday 24th January 2004.

Prospective students and their friends and family will be able to visit the university to talk to academics and look at the facilities.

The main event will be at the Brayford Pool campus but visitors will also have the opportunity to take shuttle buses to view the Cathedral Campus and Riseholme Park.

Welcome talks will be given at 10am, 11.40am, 1pm and 2.20pm and there will also be talks on student support and accommodation as well as advice for parents.

A programme of subject-related talks will continue throughout the day and lecturers will be available for one-to-one discussions with students.

Registration for all visitors will take place in the main academic building at the Brayford Pool campus.

“From the increasing numbers of visitors we can tell that our open days are becoming more and more popular,” said Jacqueline Mayer, Education Liaison Manager at the university.

“As well as prospective students we welcome more and more parents and families to these events giving everyone the opportunity to find out about the university.”
