18th December 2003

The University of Lincoln will throw open the doors of its Hull campus to prospective students next month.

The open day on Saturday 24th January 2004 will be an opportunity for prospective students to take a look at where they might be studying in the future.

Welcome talks will be given at 10am and 1.30pm and there will also be information sessions covering accommodation, learning resources, student support, information for parents, student life and Hull city tourism.

Registration takes place at the Derek Crothall Building on George Street and visitors will have the opportunity to tour the whole campus, including the Queens Gardens site, the Hooper Building and 42 High Street.

Throughout the day Hull campus lecturers will be available for one-to-one discussions with students.

“If you’re thinking of going to university next year we strongly recommend that you take the time to visit the university before you make your final decision,” said Jacqueline Mayer, Education Liaison Manager at the university.

“As well as prospective students we welcome more and more parents and families to these events so that they don’t have to make that important decision alone.”
