Lovers of classical music will get an extra special treat with their presents this Christmas.


BBC Radio Lincolnshire is to broadcast a recording of a concert performed at The Lawn in October as part of the University of Lincolnís International Concert Series.


The concert given by the Petersen String Quartet and artistic director Graham Oppenheimer will be broadcast on 94.9FM at 6pm on Boxing Day.


Over 200 people attended the concert, which featured Mozartís Quartet in F Major K 590, Quartet No 1 by Shostakovich and Brucknerís String Quintet in F Major.


The next concert in the university series will be given by pianist Imogen Cooper and cellist Sonia Wieder-Atherton on Sunday 11th January at The Lawn.


All concerts in the series start at 3.45pm at The Lawn after a pre-concert talk at 3pm.
