The University of Lincolnís ongoing series of Spanish and Latin American cinema continues next week with ĎCentral do Brasilí, a powerful tearjerker destined to become a classic.


Inside Rio de Janeiroís bustling Central Station, two unlikely souls are inextricably linked.When a young boy witnesses his motherís accidental death, a lonely retired schoolteacher reluctantly takes the child under her wing.


The two form an uncommon bond as they venture on a road trip from the bustling city to Brazilís barren and remote northeast region in search of the boyís father.Together, the two embark on a journey of the heart.


The screening will take place on Monday 17th November at the Jackson Lecture Theatre at 7pm at the Lincoln campus.


All films in the series are in Spanish or Portuguese with English subtitles.


Admission is free and members of the public are welcome to attend.
