Fans of Latin American film will be pleased to hear that Bigas Luna’s tale of lust, deceit and love will be screening at the University of Lincoln next week.

‘Jamon Jamon’ is the first screening of a selection of exciting Latin American tales, all based on love, betrayal and loss.

Andrew Daglish, Spanish lecturer at the University of Lincoln, has organised the

screenings and said that similar seasons in the past have been successful.

“Some of the films are part of the final year teaching, so I thought it could be an opportunity for people in general to experience a style of film making that doesn’t necessarily follow the Hollywood formula,” he said.

The screening will take place on 3rd November at the Jackson Lecture at 7pm at the Lincoln campus free of charge.

All films are in Spanish or Portuguese with English subtitles.
