APPLYING SCIENCE TO THE PAST

 

‘Applying science to the past’ is the theme of an archaeology symposium to be staged at the University of Lincoln on Saturday (25th October).

 

Speakers will tackle a range of diverse subjects from dating ring-ditches to the environmental history of the Witham valley.

 

There will also be a presentation on the recent excavation of over 50 mediaeval skeletons from a cellar in Monks Road, Lincoln.

 

The event is being staged at the university’s Brayford Pool campus by the Society for Lincolnshire History and Archaeology.

The event will take place in the Jackson Lecture Theatre from 9.30am until 5pm this Saturday. Please note that the event is not open to the general public.
