The men’s rugby club at the University of Lincoln has a new first team strip thanks to Lincoln Co-op.
The Co-op has agreed to sponsor the rugby club this year, and the society’s donation has enabled the rugby team to buy a new kit for the first team.
In return the players say they’ll be happy to help Lincoln Co-op with fund-raising activities throughout the year.
“We’ve got strong links with the university and we do a lot of sports promotion already, so it seemed like a good idea to support one of the sports clubs at the university,” said Sam Turner, Member Services Manager at Lincoln Co-op.
“We’ve been able to supply the club with a new first team strip and we’re very pleased to be able to support them this season.
“In return the players have offered to help out with any charity fund-raising events we have planned throughout the year, so we may well be calling on them to give us a hand!”
