More than 400 first-year students enrolling at the Hull campus of the University of Lincoln on Monday (15th September) are in for an exciting Freshers’ Week.
The Students’ Union Co-operative has organised a week of events to help students settle into their new surroundings, make new friends and have a good time.
Among the events lined up are pub crawls, club nights and a Freshers’ Fair where students can find out about all the clubs and societies at the university.
“We’ve worked hard with local promoters and venues to put on a week of entertainments for the incoming students,” said Oliver Saunders, Vice-President (Sport and Recreation) at the University of Lincoln Students’ Union Co-op in Hull.
“We hope that Freshers’ Week will make all new students to the city feel happy and comfortable with their new environment.”
The Freshers’ Week programme is as follows:
Sunday 14th Meet new friends at the White Horse SU Bar, Carr Lane
Monday 15th Pub crawl ending in Heaven and Hell night club
Tuesday 16th Freshers’ Fair at the YPI, George Street
Dance the night away at Pozition night club, George Street
Wednesday 17th ULSU dedicated student night at the White Horse SU Bar
Thursday 18th Old Town pub tour and student night at V Bar
Friday 19th Mystery night club event
From this September all University of Lincoln (Hull campus) students are based in the city centre campus on George Street or at Queens Gardens.
On 17th October the George Street building will be renamed the Derek Crothall Building in memory of the university’s Pro Vice Chancellor who died last year.
