ART STUDENTS SHOW OFF BEST WORK

An art exhibition showcasing the best work of arts graduates from the University of Lincoln goes on display from tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Usher Gallery.

‘Best in Show’ brings together the best examples of artwork produced by the university’s art and design graduates for their final-year degree shows.

Janita Elton, exhibitions organiser at the Usher Gallery, and university course leaders selected the best work by students of Illustration, Fashion, Contemporary Decorative Crafts, Graphic Design and Fine Art.

“We’re delighted to have the opportunity to showcase graduating students’ work at the Usher Gallery for the first time,” said Jayne Bingham, Head of Art at the University of Lincoln.

“This is a very exciting collaboration which allows us to show our students’ work at a high-profile regional venue.

“We’re very keen to build on our relationship with the Usher Gallery and we’re hoping that this might become an annual exhibition.”

The show features around 50 works by 25 students and goes on show tomorrow (Tuesday 16th September) until 26th October.

The gallery is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10am until 5.30pm and on Sunday from 2.30am until 5pm and admission is free.
