School pupils will be eagerly awaiting their GCSE results next Thursday (21st August), but what is the next step?

If you have a flair for fashion or a desire to design, why not find out about training for a creative career at the Lincoln School of Art and Design?

Artistic and creative pupils are being invited to attend an open day on Wednesday 27th August at the University of Lincoln’s Cathedral Campus.

Fashion and Clothing, Graphic Design, Photography and Video and Product and Interior Design are just some of the many National Diploma and AVCE courses on offer to pupils aged 16 and over.

Staff will be available to discuss the courses, accommodation and fees and tutors will also conduct interviews for students wishing to apply for this September.  So, if you have four GCSEs at grade C or above, bring your portfolio of work along.

The open day runs between 10.00am and 4.00pm at Chad Varah House on Wordsworth Street and light refreshments will be available.

“What many pupils may not realise is that the National Diploma qualification is equivalent to three A-levels,” said Stewart Bibby, event organiser.  “It is an ideal opportunity to study a subject you enjoy and gain a recognised qualification at the same time.

“The open days are an opportunity to take a look at the work of our current students, meet the staff who teach the courses and ask any questions you may have.

“You don’t have to make any decisions on the day but application forms and interviews are available.”
