Leading architect Sir Terry Farrell and Labour peer Lord Haskins are to be honoured by the University of Lincoln later this month.


The two men will be guests of the university at their summer awards ceremonies at Hull City Hall.


Sir Terry Farrell CBE, who designed The Deep in Hull, will receive an honorary Doctorate of Arts at a ceremony at 11.30am on Wednesday 23rd July.


Lord Haskins of Skidby will receive an honorary Doctorate of Laws at a ceremony at 11.30am on Thursday 24th July.


They will be joined by nearly 800 students from the University of Lincoln in Hull who will be celebrating the successful completion of their studies at City Hall on 23rd and 24th July.


Ceremonies will take place as follows:


Wednesday 23rd July, 11.30am

Students from international and UK partner colleges (Business & Management)

Students from local associate colleges (East Yorkshire College, Hull College, North Lindsey College and Yorkshire Coast College)


“Our awards ceremonies are the highlight of the academic year and everyone at the university is looking forward to celebrating the achievements of our students,” said a university spokesman.
